Comprehensive Care for All Spinal Conditions

Non-Surgical Treatment Options

When it comes to treating back, neck, and spine pain, there are often many options before surgery. Our team of experts explore and exhaust those options to provide the best patient care possible. When situations call for a minimally invasive procedure, it should be comforting to know your care team has the experience necessary to provide you with the best solution for your road to better living.

Types of Spine Surgery

When conservative treatment is not enough, you have other options. The NeuroMedical Center’s comprehensive Spine Surgery program offers minimally invasive procedures that ease pain and accelerate recovery, and advanced surgical procedures when pain or injury is severe or debilitating. Our neurosurgeons are some of the first spine surgeons in the country to offer both minimally invasive laser and robotic-assisted spinal surgery for the treatment of a wide range of spinal conditions including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. Some commonly performed spine surgeries include”

  • Discectomy, which removes the herniated portion of a disk in the back
  • Vertebroplasty, which injects cement into bone in the spine to keep it from collapsing
  • Kyphoplasty, which, like vertebroplasty, injects cement into bone in the spine but does so using a balloon to carve out a cavity or space first
  • Laminectomy, which enlarges the surgical column when it has narrowed due to stenosis
  • Spinal fusion, which welds two vertebrae in the back or neck together to stabilize them

Informed Decisions About Spine Surgery

Spine surgery is rarely an initial treatment for back or neck pain and the experts at The NeuroMedical Center want to help you explore all possible options before recommending surgery. However, surgery might be the best option when your pain is unresponsive to conservative therapies. Because spine surgery is such a big move, spine surgery is never taken lightly at The NeuroMedical Center. Our neurosurgeons carefully explain your options, weigh potential risks vs. benefits, and makes sure that spine surgery is the right choice for you.
