Dr. Dammers received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, a Master’s degree in psychology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a Ph.D. in clinical/medical psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and completed an internship in clinical neuropsychology at Brown University in Rhode Island. Dr. Dammers also earned a post-doctoral Master’s degree in psychopharmacology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Dammers joined The NeuroMedical Center as a neuropsychology fellow in 1994 and officially joined the department as a clinical neuropsychologist in 1995. He has held adjunct teaching positions at Our Lady of the Lake College and LSU in Baton Rouge, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology at Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Dammers is board certified in Medical Psychology by the American Board of Medical Psychology, and in Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and is a Fellow of the American College of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Dammers has served on the Board of Examiner’s for Psychologists in Louisiana. He is a member of several professional organizations including the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Louisiana Association of Medical Psychologists.
