Jake Trahan, III, MD is a dual board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain medicine physician. His practice is dedicated to the treatment of a wide variety of pain conditions with a focus on non-surgical treatments designed to help alleviate pain. Dr. Trahan’s goal is to improve his patients’ quality of life and help them get back to doing the things they love. He provides a tailored approach for each patient using known conventional therapies along with modern, cutting-edge techniques to help patients avoid surgery and addictive medication.

Dr. Trahan prides himself in remaining at the forefront of advancements in pain management. Throughout his training, he sought additional opportunities to learn from attending physicians in neurosurgery and pain medicine, as well as attend various training courses and conferences to further advance his knowledge and skills to better serve his patients. Dr. Trahan chose to join The NeuroMedical Center to work with a team of physicians from multiple specialties committed to providing the highest quality of care for patients in south Louisiana.

As a native south Louisianian, Dr. Trahan began his medical training at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. From there, he went on to complete his anesthesiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, followed by an interventional pain medicine fellowship at VUMC.

He is an active member in several medical organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiology, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, the Spine Intervention Society, and the Louisiana State Medical Society.

In his free time, Dr. Trahan enjoys playing golf, traveling, and watching LSU sports. He currently resides in Baton Rouge with his family.
