Special Interests: Psychological Assessment, Cognitive Assessment, Brief Psychotherapy and Medication Management. 

Dr. Burnett, a native of Louisiana, received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She went on to obtain a master’s and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. She completed a predoctoral internship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry in Chapel Hill and the United States Department of Justice at the Butner Federal Correctional Institute. Three years after receiving her Ph.D., Dr. Burnett earned her post doctoral masters degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Burnett started her career in state service working briefly at the Jetson Correctional Center for Youth and then for over ten years at the Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System- Forensic Division. Dr. Burnett also served as a faculty member of the Southern Louisiana Internship Consortium for over 13 years. Dr. Burnett joined The NeuroMedical Center in 2017 after spending six years in private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dr. Burnett holds membership in several professional organizations.  She has served in leadership positions within the Louisiana Psychological Association and the Louisiana Academy of Medical Psychologists. Dr. Burnett served as a member of the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists from 2012- 2017.

Dr. Burnett is located on the 4th floor of The NeuroMedical Center Clinic. She is currently accepting new patients.
