Dr. Foster received his undergraduate degree in biology from Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia in Norfolk, and completed an internship and one year of his diagnostic radiology residency at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Foster completed his residency training at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile before completing back-to-back neuroradiology fellowships. He received one year of specialized training at the University of Virginia Medical Center and another at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Dr. Foster joined The NeuroMedical Center in 2010 – bringing 22 years of experience in radiology practice to our neuroradiology team.

Experienced neuroradiology assessment is an integral component of providing the highest quality, comprehensive neurological care. Dr. Foster provides expert analysis of imaging tests performed inside The NeuroMedical Center’s Imaging Center, leading to faster, more accurate diagnoses for our patients and their families. Dr. Foster is skilled in assessing and diagnosing all types of conditions including head and neck injuries, spinal trauma, degenerative spinal disease, brain and spinal tumors, malformations in the spine, and other neurological abnormalities.  As a neuroradiologist with The NeuroMedical Center, Dr. Foster and his colleague Dr. R. Stephen Williams offer our patients six decades of combined experience in identification of the full range of adult neurological disorders and injury.

Dr. Foster is board certified in diagnostic radiology and holds a certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology.  He is located on the 1st floor of The NeuroMedical Center.
