The NeuroMedical Center Welcomes New Surgical Hospital CEO

Robert D. Blair assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at The NeuroMedical Center Surgical Hospital on April 1. He comes to The NeuroMedical Center with extensive leadership and development experience in the healthcare setting.

Most recently, Blair has served as CEO at Greater Baton Rouge Surgical Hospital from its development in 2005 through early 2010. While under the direction of Blair, this facility received the National Medical Association’s top national recognition, the Scroll of Merit Award, and also two Platinum Quality awards from the Louisiana. Prior to his work with Greater Baton Rouge Surgical Hospital, Blair served as the executive director for three long-term acute care hospitals in southern California. In addition to his executive leadership experience, he has also served in a variety of other healthcare settings including consulting, hospital finance, insurance and hospital development.

The NeuroMedical Center Surgical Hospital Chairman of the Board Horace Mitchell, M.D. said, “Mr. Blair will be a wonderful addition to our team. Blair is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in healthcare administration and a minor in finance. He is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives and has also served on the board as treasurer for the Louisiana. Physicians Hospital Association. Also, he has been a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Executive Healthcare Forum and the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce.
