When it comes to restoring function after neurological injury or pinpointing difficult-to-diagnose pain, Baton Rouge turns to Dr. Jyoti S. Pham.
Dr. Pham graduated magna cum laude with a degree in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She attended medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, and continued her training including an internship in internal medicine and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Pham’s specialty training focused on rehabilitation of the spine after injury, restoring function of the brain after stroke or other neurological episode, and expertly addressing the unique aches and pains of cancer patients.
Dr. Pham joined The NeuroMedical Center’s Pain Management department in July 2005. As a board certified PM&R specialist, Dr. Pham has a special interest in neurorehabilitation. Dr. Pham leads a multidisciplinary team of specialists at The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation hospital, helping those with stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury multiple sclerosis (MS), and Parkinson’s disease overcome their physical impairments and return to an optimal level of functioning. Dr. Pham also treats a wide range of acute and chronic and acute pain issues on an Outpatient basis at The Spine Hospital of Louisiana. Dr. Pham frequently helps patients avoid surgery for their back or neck pain through epidural steroid injections, joint injections, nerve root blocks, and the full array of conservative treatment options.
Dr. Pham is an active member in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is currently accepting new patients.
