Parkinson's Research Volunteers Needed

The LSU School of Kinesiology, alongside Pennington Biomedical Research Center, is currently seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical research trial testing the effects of wild blueberries on motor performance of people with Parkinson ’s disease.

Eligibility Requirements

You may be eligible to participate in this clinical research trial if you:

  • Are a man or woman who has been clinically diagnosed with Stage 1-3 Parkinson ’s disease
  • Are 50-89 years of age
  • Have been stable on medications for at least 3 months
  • Walk without an assistive device
  • Are willing to consume one serving of powder mix each day for 8 weeks

Participants will be enrolled in the trial for 12 weeks, with weekly visits/evaluations. Blueberry or placebo powder will be provided to participants at no cost.
