Melanie is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and graduated from Southern University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She also earned her Master of Family Health Nursing at SU in 1997. Melanie joined The NeuroMedical Center’s Neurology department in 2006, bringing a wealth of experience in cardiology, orthopedic, and family health nursing settings.

Melanie enjoys reading and is an active member of her church, Family Worship Center of Baton Rouge.
