The NeuroMedical Center’s Outpatient Therapy Center offers neurological rehabilitation services designed to meet the needs of individuals who have had or who currently have neurological diseases or injuries. Without physical therapy and/or occupational therapy following a neurological event, patients may lose functions and/or the ability to perform certain activities. The goal of our therapy team is to work one-on-one with patients to help them regain most of the functions they have lost as a result of a neurological complication and return to an optimal level of functioning and independence.
Advanced Training & Certifications
What makes Outpatient Therapy at The NeuroMedical Center different from other therapy clinics is that team brings advanced training and certifications in neuro-based physical and occupational therapy methods.
- Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) is a hands-on treatment approach developed to enhance the function of individuals with neurological challenges who have difficulty controlling movement. The treatment strategy uses guided or facilitated movements to develop and reinforce correct movement and optimize function
- Neuro-Integrative Functional Rehabilitation (Neuro-IFRAH®) is an integrated approach for the treatment of stroke and brain injuries
- LSVT Big® is a new approach to treatment of Parkinson’s that involves engaging patients in specific exercises that involve large amplitude, exaggerated movement patterns, leading to smoother, larger, safer movements and improved quality of life.
