Welcoming Dr. William J. Graugnard to the Team

The NeuroMedical Center is pleased to announce that William J. Graugnard, M.D. has joined our Pain Management Department. Joining the region’s largest network of brain, spine and nervous system experts, Graugnard becomes the sixth pain management specialist on The NeuroMedical Center’s medical staff. Dr. Graugnard’s first official day in clinic was on Monday, August 13th, 2018.
Dr. Graugnard grew up in Thibodaux, Louisiana where he attended E.D. White Catholic High School. He received his medical degree from the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana before moving to Birmingham, Alabama to complete his post-graduate training. Dr. Graugnard then went on to complete an internal medicine internship at Brookwood Baptist Health System, and subsequently gained experience in anesthesiology as a resident at the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). Finally, Dr. Graugnard completed a fellowship in pain medicine focusing on spine and joint-related interventional pain management. He now specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult spinal disorders such as Acute & Chronic Back, Neck, Joint, & Post-Surgical Pain.
Dr. Graugnard believes in a comprehensive approach to treating neck, low back, and joint pain. Dr. Graugnard will see his patients in clinic on the 3rd floor of The NeuroMedical Center Clinic, and will perform leading-edge interventional pain procedures in-house at The Spine Hospital of Louisiana. His goal is to improve the function and quality of life of his patients by providing specialized care plans to meet each patient’s individual needs and goals.

Dr. Graugnard is an active member of multiple professional organizations such as the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
