Where do I park for my appointment?

Patients of The NeuroMedical Center and their guests may park for free anywhere in the five level parking garage attached to The NeuroMedical Center. Free and handicap parking is also offered on a first-come first-serve basis in one of the Perkins Rowe public parking garages located behind the Cinemark movie theatre and next to Fresh Market. All other public parking spaces are property of Perkins Rowe and contain a meter that accepts coins. The NeuroMedical Center features two covered areas at each of its two entrances, reserved for pick-up and drop-off only.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

For each appointment you will need to bring a picture ID and your insurance card.  New patients of The NeuroMedical Center Clinic are encouraged bring a completed Patient Registration packet to shorten wait times.  If applicable, please bring any test results, films or CD’s including x-rays, MRI’s, CT’s, or lab results. Also bring a list of all current medications you are taking.

What if I am deaf or do not speak English?

Language assistance services, free of charge, are available to you.  Such arrangements may include, but are not limited to, providing qualified interpreters, providing taped cassettes of material for individuals with low vision, or assuring a barrier-free location for the proceedings. Contact your medical facility’s Compliance Coordinator/Officer to  make arrangements prior to your visit:

What if I need a wheelchair?

Wheelchairs are available on the first floor of The NeuroMedical Center Clinic. Please bring an I.D. to the Imaging Desk located just inside the entrance located opposite The NeuroMedical Center parking garage.


How do I request a copy of my medical records?

If you need to obtain your medical records for personal use, please visit our Medical Records information page and print out the appropriate medical records release form.  Once you complete the form in full you may either fax, mail, of deliver the form to our Medical Records departments. Our Medical Records clerks will be happy to assist you in person during normal business hours 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.   Please allow 3 to 7 business days for the complete processing of your request.
 


What are The NeuroMedical Center’s Visiting Hours?

The Spine Hospital of Louisiana’s visiting hours are from 7:30am-9pm daily.

The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation’s visiting hours are from 12-1pm and 4-8pm daily.

Please make sure to check in at the front desk and/or nurses’ station.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

While some NMC physicians accept self-referrals, it is recommended that you obtain a physician’s referral.   Most insurance companies also require that you coordinate a referral from your primary care physician or other healthcare provider to obtain specialty care.


Does The NeuroMedical Center Accept My Insurance Plan?

The NeuroMedical Center accepts most insurance plans.  Our Billing and Insurance Page lists out the major insurances accepted by each of our facilities. Our Billing specialists are available by phone to answer any of your insurance and billing questions.
