Robert Blair received his degrees in Healthcare Administration from Pennsylvania State University and since furnished over 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership. Robert provided seven years of management to the Department of Surgery at the Hershey Medical Center where he oversaw clinical, financial and surgical operations for 72 surgeons. Robert also served on the executive team for a national home health/infusion company based out of Denver and later guided them through a 30 month bankruptcy proceeding. From there, he went to HealthSouth, focusing on the turnaround of their Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital and also directed the opening of a long term acute care (LTAC) hospital in New Orleans. He later managed three LTAC hospitals in southern Los Angeles totaling 250 beds and most recently developed and managed the Greater Baton Rouge Surgical Hospital, owned by United Surgical Partners International. Robert has provided consulting services for numerous healthcare entities related to, hospital efficiencies, physician alignment, Operating Agreements, Hospital Development, physician recruitment, and currently serves on the Governing Board for three healthcare entities.
Robert has served as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Baton Rouge Executive Healthcare Forum and President of the Pennsylvania State University Gulf Coast Alumni Chapter. He is currently the President of the Louisiana Physicians Hospital Association and remains a Board member of the Penn State Alumni Chapter.
