MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
The NeuroMedical Center’s superior MRI capabilities allows our center to perform over 9,000 MRI scans annually. Our dedicated MRI suite houses one of Louisiana’s only 3T MRI scanners. This sophisticated technology generates a magnetic field that and up to 10 to 15 times the strength of low field or open MRI scanners, generating images with exceptional anatomic detail.
CT/CAT Scan (Computed Tomography)
The NeuroMedical Center offers a state-of-the-art spiral CT (Computed Tomography) allowing our physicians to review extremely detailed examinations of the entire body. It is most commonly used to detect or rule out, neurological injury or disease of the brain and spine.
X-Ray
State-of-the-art x-ray technology including the nation’s first Toshiba Ultimax-i FPD system allows our Neuroradiologists to perform a wide range of image-guided angiographic services and spinal procedures including myelograms and lumbar punctures at the lowest possible radiation dose.
