Dr. Jyoti Pham graduated magna cum laude with a degree in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She attended medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, and continued her training including an internship in internal medicine and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Pham joined The NeuroMedical Center’s Pain Management department in July 2005. Dr. Pham is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), and pain management. She is an active member in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Pham has a special interest in stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. These injuries are serious neurological events that can result in permanent physical impairments that can impact patients for the rest of their lives and require inpatient and long-term outpatient therapy. As a physical medicine and pain medicine specialist, Dr. Pham also treats a wide range of acute and chronic pain issues, including neck and back pain, joint pain, and neuropathy pain. She provides specialized care plans based the severity of the injury and each patient’s individual needs and goals. In her practice, Dr. Pham performs Botox injections for spasticity management, lumbar epidural steroid injections, and steroid injections for knee and shoulder pain.
