Dr. Kidder was born and raised in South Louisiana, a native of Lake Charles. He graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, with a degree in zoology. Dr. Kidder earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson before moving to Texas to complete his internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Texas Medical Center at Houston. While at UT, Dr. Kidder served as Chief Resident from 2008-2009.
Prior to returning to his South Louisiana roots to practice, Dr. Kidder finished a one-year fellowship in movement disorders. His training focused on the specialized treatment of neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson’s Disease as well as dystonia, spasticity and tremors through advanced methods including Deep Brain Stimulation, botox injections, and inthracel baclofen pumps.
Since joining The NeuroMedical Center in 2010, Dr. Kidder’s expertise in complex movement disorder care has provided relief to hundreds of patients who have not responded to traditional therapies or medication. Dr. Kidder continues to advance research on Parkinson’s disease through ongoing studies and clinical trials.
Dr. Kidder is board certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.
