The NeuroMedical Center, in partnership with Mary Bird Perkins-Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center, proudly offers the full range of services to diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate brain tumors.  In addition to the best in brain & spine tumor imaging and the most-minimally invasive surgical options, patients in our Brain & Spine Tumor program have access to the safest, easiest, and most painless stereotactic radiosurgery options.  Through this unique partnership, patients of The NeuroMedical Center have access to advanced Gamma Knife® stereotactic radiotherapy. Providing surgeons with a non-invasive method of treating inoperable brain tumors, the goal of Gamma Knife® treatment is to reduce risk to the patient while maximizing the therapy’s effectiveness.

 

A Team Approach to Tumor Care
At The NeuroMedical Center, we recognize that the care of patients with brain and spinal tumors can be complex. To determine the best approach for each patient, our brain tumor specialists hold a weekly Brain Tumor Conference to discuss the medical management of complicated cases.  This specially-designed meeting allows physicians from The NeuroMedical Center and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center to review our patients’ treatment histories, imaging studies, pathology reports, and more in order to design a comprehensive set of treatment recommendations that are discussed in detail with our patients and families.  This rigorous team approach is what truly sets us apart; The NeuroMedical Center is one of a few neuroscience centers capable of offering this level of brain tumor expertise and collaboration.
