The NeuroMedical Center’s movement disorder neurologist, Dr. Gerald J. Calegan, is partnering with the Parkinson’s Foundation Gulf Coast Chapter to offer a free virtual conference that will address some of the unique challenges people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) are facing due to COVID-19.  The live Zoom event scheduled for Thursday, November 12th, 2020 will also feature PD experts from around the region who will share practical ways to cope with Parkinson’s disease while safely social distancing at home.  The program is open to people with Parkinson’s, their caregivers, family, and friends, as well as the community at large.

“During these challenging times, mental and emotional health is as important as physical health especially when you are living with chronic disease,” said Dr. Calegan. “As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, it is important that the entire Parkinson’s community has access to valuable education, health and wellness resources to help them live better and stay safe and healthy.”
