The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital Therapy Programs
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital utilizes the latest equipment and technologies coupled with proven therapy methods to comprehensively treat patients medically, socially, emotionally and vocationally.
The combination of the physical, occupational and speech therapy service are introduced into a patient’s treatment plan on an individualized basis.
Physical Therapy
Our team of physical therapists are specialty-trained in the neurosciences and most have advanced doctorates (DPT). They are experts in optimizing muscle control, balance flexibility and movement. They work in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team and assist patients in building strength and endurance to improve mobility and decrease pain.
Occupational Therapy
Our team of occupational therapists are highly experienced helping individuals regain their independence after disease, trauma, disability or aging. They take a hands-on approach to re-teach patients the performance of activities necessary to function in home, work and community environments.
Speech Therapy
Our team of speech therapists are experts in improving communication skills for individuals affected by disease, trauma, disability or aging. They help our patients improve language, comprehension, memory and attention skills. They are also highly experienced improving speech, swallowing and eating skills, and improving facial muscular weakness.
Stroke Recovery and Management
When surgery is needed to stabilize a stroke patient, The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital extends the continuum of care offered on our campus through an interdisciplinary team headed by a team of pain medicine physicians and specialty-trained therapists, speech and language pathologists, neuropsychologists and nurses. In our in-patient setting, patients receive tailored treatment plans to recover health and functionality. In later phases of stroke recovery, patients are encouraged to undergo personalized exercises to prevent future episodes.
Brain Injury Program
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital provides state-of-the-art rehabilitative care for individuals recovering from both traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. Treatment plans are tailored to the individual through a collective effort by pain medicine physicians, rehab nurses, physical and occupational therapists, pathologists and neuropsychologists.
Prosthetic Preparation & Training
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital offers a comprehensive approach to rehab after amputation. We offer a comprehensive amputation program that includes the combined efforts of many specialists including pain management physicians, psychologists and therapists to help you adjust to your prosthetics physically and mentally.
Spinal Cord Injury Program
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital offers several programs to enhance the quality of life for our patients living with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D). Through a multidisciplinary approach, our physicians and staff help hundreds of patients annually overcome the daily challenges of living with a spinal cord disability and enable them to return to an ideal level of functioning in their community.
Orthopedic and Post Joint Recovery
The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital’s Orthopedic and Post Joint Recovery program starts with a comprehensive evaluation that identifies an individual’s areas of weakness, range of motion and overall functional capabilities. Taking our patient’s personal goals into account, a treatment plan is tailored to the individual to maximize physical abilities and promote a return to daily activities. That may include pain reduction/management, manual therapy techniques, restoration of motion and strength through exercise, education and functional training.
