Dr. Whiddon is a native of Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University, where she received her undergraduate degrees and graduated summa cum laude. She received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She then completed an internship in internal medicine at Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Whiddon continued her training at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she completed a neurology residency and served as chief resident of the program from 2010-2011. Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in neurophysiology there as well. She then completed a movement disorder fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her training included treatment of Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, tremors, and dystonia, as well as programming of deep brain stimulators and special techniques for botulinum toxin injections to treat dystonia and spasticity. Dr. Whiddon joined The NeuroMedical Center in July of 2013 and is board certified in neurology.
